Re-run 39. FC 3R’S SMOKE THERE’S FIRE, “Fire,” BLM, James Hurst

FC 3R’S SMOKE THERE’S FIRE

Fire and James came back to the line at 11:33 am

F – Straight to the fall area 1 tight loop and he got his bird!

RR – Took his line slightly right going out and right around the blind, then over to the fall area and got it!

B – Early pop and was given a cast and then had a great line to the slot - got it with 1 whistle and 1 more whistle to the bird.




No-bird 46. FC-AFC SALLY BE GOOD, “Sally,” BLF, Terry Foltz

Sally and Terry came to the line at 11:38 am and had a no-bird, they will be back after 6 dogs.

RR – Beautiful line through the bales and out to the fall area - quickly retrieved her bird.

B – 1st whistle to get the slot - 1 to adjust her line and then 1 whistle at the end.

F – Out to the middle of the field in front of the guns - turned left and went to the bird.

RR – Right of the bales - hunted behind the gunner - worked his way in front and he found his bird.

B – 1 whistle before the tree - 1 to go through the slot and 3 more to the bird.

F – Hunted left and right and then back to the area - a few more loops and he got his bird.

RR – Right of the bales and stayed in front of the gunners blind - turned left up the hill and had a hunt wide and back down low - covered a lot of territory but she got it!

B – 1st whistle almost at the tree - through the gap and 1 more whistle at the bird.

RR – Went wide right and into the pond - was handled back to the flyer area but dog was picked up

F – Another short bird - he took a tight initial hunt in the area but missed it - expanded the hunt but came back to the fall area and found his bird.

RR – Out across the field past the bales and out right - behind the gunners blind for a turn and then out to the fall area to locate his bird.

B – Quick whistle and then a total of 3 before the tree - one through the slot and then 2 more whistles to the bird.

F – Good line out and had a short hunt of a few loops in front of the guns then straight back to the bird.

RR – Good line - took 1 loop under the arc towards the blind and then to the bird.

B – 4 whistles to the slot, though the slot and then 3 whistles to the bird.

F – Initial line took him to the area, took a few loops left and right all under the arc and then he got his bird.

RR – Drove up the hill past the fall area and went deep and looped left. Came back to the right and down the hill to locate his bird.

B – Initial line almost to the slot - 2 whistles and a left cast to try to get the slot - missed on the right - a couple more whistles at the end to the bird.

F – Straight to the fall area and missed it - hunted deep and then went wide right and covered the hill, but he got it.

RR – Wide left going out - over across the road and came back very wide left - was handled but kept going out of sight - but he finally got his bird.

B – 2 whistles before the tree - 1 before the slot and he missed it - 2 more whistles to the bird.
