10th Series – Water Quad with 2 Flyers and 2 Retired Birds

13 Dogs Were Called Back to run this Series

After the test was set up, Test Dogs began the Series this morning at 7:50 am, beginning with "Fancy," with handler Dave Kress and then "Morgan," with handler Tom Hawley.

The first running dog for the 10th series was #24 FC-AFC RAZOR’S BUCKSHOT, “Shooter,” with handler Larry Vaske at 8:59 am.

The weather this morning started out warm and party cloudy, but a storm quickly moved in and caused high winds and a rain delay until noon. When we resumed the test temps were reaching into the low 90's with partly cloudy skies and winds around 10-13 mph.

Here is how things turned out for the 10th Series…
No-Bird / Re-Run (1): 28
Handles (1): 70 – 103
Double Handles (1): 1 – 9 – 16
Pick-Ups (1): 38
Broke (1): 94

Our last running dog for this series, and this National event was #16 FC-AFC BIG RIVER CHARLIE II, “Charlie,” with handler Jim Rickoff. They completed the test this afternoon at 3:28 pm.

There were 14 dogs sent from the line in this series, taking a total of 3 hours and 49 minutes, which averages out to a little over 17.5 minutes per dog.

The 10th Series was officially in the books at 3:28 pm! We will find out who the Finalists are and who the Winner of the 2025 National Amateur is very soon – Stay Tuned!
